Making Your Font Styles Consistent
If you notice your fonts looking strange after copy and pasting from another source, there is an easy fix.
1. Go to edit the page/post that you are having the problem with.
2. Select all of the text in the post box (Ctrl + A to select all).
3. Cut the text (Ctrl + X to cut).
4. Make sure you have all of the available editing icons visible. Look to see if you have just one row of icons, or two. If you only have one row of icons, look to the far right icon labeled “Show/Hide Kitchen Sink”. Clicking this icon will display a 2nd row of icons. On this new 2nd row, look for an icon labeled “Paste as Plain Text”. Click this icon.

5. If you are editing an existing post / page, click your mouse at the point you wish to insert the new text.
6. A pop-up window will appear. Paste the text into the window (Ctrl + V to paste). Click “Insert”.
7. You have now successfully pasted your text without any prior formatting. Save and publish the page as usual.
This should fix any formatting problems that may have carried over from another source. There are other methods that may accomplish a similar result – this method is simply the only one that ensures a truly blank slate to start from.
