What’s your CScore? (and why you should care)

Last Updated on September 30, 2012 by Esther

CScoreFacebook is an excellent tool for increasing traffic to your website and blog, but how do you know if it’ is working? In comes CScore – a simple (and free!) little tool that measures your social score on Facebook.

CScore takes an assessment of your most recent Facebook activity (or as much public information as the program can legally access). This includes how often you post, the number of likes and comments that you give and receive, how many times your posts are shared, and other pertinent activity. Despite what it sounds like, this doesn’t mean that your page has to be popular to be considered successful. The parameters that CScore uses to assess your page were designed to examine the quality of your interactions. This means that although it does take your number of fans into account, this is only a small part of your total score.

CScore is useful to real estate agents, because it provides data that can help you see where to adjust your Facebook marketing strategies. Basically, it answers the question, “Am I doing enough?” It gives you a conversation score, rank, and star ratings in four different categories. You will even receive a “name tag” that best describes what you do. Are you a Starter, Broadcaster, Conversationalist, or Viral Wonder? There will be 81 name tags once the full library is live. Furthermore, there is no name tag that is better than another, meaning that two people with the same score can have different name tags.

Another use for CScore is to check out the CScore of other Facebook pages. Now, why would you want to do that? For research purposes, of course! Let’s say you frequently visit a Facebook page that you enjoy, or that has similar goals as yours, and that you would consider a success. You can look up its CScore and if it rates high, you can jot down some tips and apply them to your own Facebook page.

CScore is simple to use and understand. It is a great opportunity to see where you can improve your page and make everything you do on Facebook count. Just follow this link http://cscore.recommend.ly and enter your Facebook URL to get your CScore.
